A lifestyle blog about all the things I love - fashion, glamour, epicure, pop culture, travel, literature and the world of sernedipity.

My lipstick smudges and I straighten my hair way too much. I spill things a lot and have an obsession with making lists. I'm pretty ambitious but sometimes I have a lazy heart. Some days nothing goes right and some days the best blessings are not getting what you want!

Enjoy my musings...

I always knew if we got to know each other we would be great friends (and rule the world together from our living rooms).

My inspiration for starting this blog is based on a plethora of obsessions: beautifully styled clothing, a love of magazines (I used to categorise my Dolly and Gilfriends), trying to lead a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget, scrapbooking, daydreaming, self-improvement, all things girly and an uncanny yet blissful belief that I may indeed have something interesting to share with others. I am an avid “stalker” of other people’s blogs and without a doubt have been mesmerized by the lives of interesting, beautiful, funny and unique personas of the blogging world.

But the biggest inspiration came from one of my bestest friends forever (BFsF)… one of the most creative, naturally beautiful, wise, worldly and strong women I know!

We often rehash the story of how we first became friends… it was outfit lust at first sight (although as the years go by the interpretation of our outfits seem to change somewhat). It was nearly fifteen years ago. She was wearing a white pant suit (way before Angelina Jolie) with white heels. Me well I was beginning my 50s obsession mode, a pink gingham shift dress, pale pink Sportsgirl denim jacket (so 90s so wish I had listened to my Mum and kept it) and platform sneakers (the Spice Girls were HUGE so forgive me), I thought Dee was the most chic girl at the party and she apparently thought who is this mixture of Baby/Ginger Spice dressed so differently to all the other Dotti/Hound Dog/Portmans/Central Lane wearing girls?

So superficiality brought us together (heck – it still does!) but a genuine and unique friendship evolved.

A friendship that has stood the test of time, is raw and honest, contains no judgement only support, where happy things are wished upon for each other and celebrated, passwords are shared, gossip surpasses expectations even when rehashed for the millionth time, is sincere and fun! She knows pretty much everything about me (yes guys be worried – I have to tell someone!) yet still loves me.  Dee is like my Madonna friend (she is like 3 months older then me) and I am her Gwyneth!

Anyways thanks hun for pushing me from one addiction to another, donating hundreds of magazines from the 90s to me (which I eagerly take) and being on that warped wave length with me!
